For the 30th consecutive year, Team Evergreen (TE) successfully presented the premier cycling event in the country, the Triple Bypass. In 2018, 45 local non-profits will receive $170,000 from the proceeds of the event.  Included in the donations for this year is a reserve of $30,000 to provide funding assistance for trail projects that benefit mountain and road cyclists.

“The mission of Team Evergreen Cycling is to promote safe access and use to all riders in Colorado.  With the new shorter distances we are offering at the Triple, we are able to engage riders of many abilities, which furthers our mission,” said Jennifer Barbour, Team Evergreen’s Executive Director.   “We are fortunate to enjoy continued success, which results in donations to the non-profit groups and cycling advocates that support our events.”

Some of the non-profit groups that receive donations include:

Bicycle Colorado
Colorado Mountain Bike Association
Colorado High School Cycling League
Evergreen High School Ensembles
Venture Crew 911
Civil Air Patrol
Community Educational Outreach
Mountain Area Land Trust
Drive Smart Evergreen
Evergreen Chorale
Into Your Hands – Africa

The Triple Bypass is a one-day bicycle ride along scenic Colorado highways, country roads and bike paths between Evergreen and Avon.  There are three course options: the full 120-mile Triple Bypass, the 75-mile Double Bypass and the Single Bypass at 30 miles.  In 2019 the ride is scheduled for Saturday, July 13.  It is a Colorado classic and has become a “must do” event for riders throughout the country.

Founded in 1988 in Evergreen, Colorado, TE is a non-profit organization and the largest cycling club in the state of Colorado. Team Evergreen promotes the sport of cycling through involvement in bicycle and community organizations. In the past nineteen years, they have given over $2.6 million to local non-profits.
