2015 Triple Bypass Ride Overview
The Triple Bypass Bicycle Ride is recognized as one of the premier cycling events for those who DARE! Celebrating the 27th Anniversary of the Triple Bypass Bicycle Ride, the Triple offers two days of enjoying the beautiful scenery Rocky Mountains on your bike.
On Saturday July 11th, 2015, the Triple Bypass ride heads WEST from Evergreen and concludes in Avon over three mountain passes. The ride is 120 miles from Evergreen (Bergen Park) over Juniper Pass (11,140 ft.), Loveland Pass (11,990 ft.), Swan Mountain and Vail Pass (10,560 ft.), concluding in Avon. The ride has over 10,000 ft. of challenging elevation gain! On Sunday July 12th, the Triple Bypass heads EAST, starting in Avon, over 3 mountain passes, ending in Evergreen. For those truly interested in a heart-pounding experience, riders are able to complete both ride days in the “Double Triple Bypass.”
With two ride days the total number of available entries is 5,000. 3,500 riders will be on the road Saturday, and up to 2,500 riders on Sunday. 1,000 riders will be riding both days as Double Triple Bypass riders.

SATURDAY OR SUNDAY
Riders may select to ride Saturday or Sunday. The course is identical, just reverse. If you like longer hills with less slope, then the Saturday ride is more suited for you. On Sunday the hills are a little shorter in miles, but the % grade is a little higher, still well under 10%. The start and finish elevations are within 200 feet of each other, so the ride is very similar in difficulty each day.

for our dedicated Double riders in 2015, they will receive their own unique jersey, vehicle support provided by Prestige Audi, additional gear bag drop-off to Loveland and enhanced amenities at the aid stations. Want to try the Triple but don’t know if this is the year you can complete the whole thing? The Triple Relay allows three riders to combine efforts and each conquer a pass, from Avon to Copper, Copper to Georgetown, or the anchor position of Georgetown to Evergreen.

Entry Fees: The 2015 Triple Bypass single day entry fee is $150 and $275 for the two-day ride, the Double Triple Bypass. The Sunday Relay, team of three members, is $375. The entry fee includes a 2015 Triple Bypass jersey; helmet sticker, wristband and bib; food, energy drinks and water at Aid Stations; finish line BBQ; all road law enforcement and SAG support; medical and mechanical support along route.
2015 Registration Process
There is no rush to apply for the Triple Bypass – YOU HAVE 10 DAYS TO APPLY. On January 2, 2015 at 12:01am MST the application pages will open, they will close on January 12, 2015 at 11:59pm MST. It doesn’t matter when you apply during the 10 days of the application period. An email confirmation will be sent out on January 14th indicating if you have or have not been selected to participate in the 2015 Triple Bypass.
Step 1: Mark your calendars for January 2 through January 12, 2015 and take your time! Don’t miss out on this easy application process.
Step 2: Visit www.triplebypass.org to enter the selection process for the Triple Bypass event and have a valid credit card ready for validation. Credit cards will be authorized (your credit balance is reduced) as you register, but not charged until you are accepted into the ride. Anyone not accepted into the ride will not be charged, and the authorize only transaction voided. Please make sure the credit card used is valid or your application will not be entered into the selection process. At the time of application we will gather all the information we need to register you for the ride of your choice, including your credit card information. We will validate the data and hold the information until the selection process is complete.
Step 3: Finish the application process by completing these forms: Contact Information, Select Ride Preference, Create/Select a Team (optional), Select Jersey size and packet pickup preference, Optional Clothing/Merchandise and Make Payment.
Make sure that your email address will accept the confirmation email from Triple Bypass website, email@example.com. Spam filter and bulk mail filters may cause problems so, be proactive.
Each participant must have a unique email address. Only one email address per participant. If two people share the same email address, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will setup a new email for one of you.
Step 4 – Selected/Not Selected: All registrants will be notified via email (also available with an online link at www.TripleBypass.org) of their status on January 14, 2015. If you are successful, your credit card will be processed on January 14, 2015.
Step 5 –“Selected:” Start training for the ride of a lifetime!
Team Registration Guidelines:
How do I create or join a team?
The “Team Leader” needs to be the first to sign up. The team leader will “Create a Team” and have a choice of “Variable”, “Fixed” or “Relay” team. Once the team leader has completed the registration process, the other team members can “Join a Team” by selecting the team name from the list. The team leader will receive an email to “accept” or “reject” each team member.
If you are planning to ride with 2-10 people (suggested team size) and would like to enter the registration selection process as a team please select "Team Registration" on the registration page. There will be two choices for “Team Registration”.
1) VARIABLE Team – The variable team captain and team members can select different ride day options – Saturday, Sunday or Double. If the variable team is not selected, all team members have a chance to sign up for the Sunday ride or be put on the waitlist for Saturday. All the riders will be IN or OUT of the selection process as a team.
2) FIXED Team – All members of a Fixed Team must ride the same ride day (Saturday, Sunday or Double) and they are all IN if selected. If a fixed team is not selected, the team will not have a chance to sign up for Sundays ride or be put on the wait list for Saturday. All the riders will be IN or OUT of the selection process as a team.
2) SUNDAY RELAY Team – All relay members are riding the SUNDAY ride day and they are all IN. The Team Captain will pay for the Relay Team ($375) and the other two members will “Join a Team”. The team member will not be charged a ride fee, but can elect to pay to have their packet mailed to them or buy merchandise. The team captain will be notified by email and must except their two team members.
