Meet at Wadsworth and Deer Creek parking lot for a 10:30 am departure.
From the Deer Creek parking lot, Wadsworth Blvd., Kassler Rd., Waterton Rd., Rampart Rd., Roxborough Dr., Sundown Tr., Arrowhead Golf Course. Retrace to Rampart Rd. Rampart Rd., Titan Rd., Roxborough Park Rd., Chatfield State Park. Follow the Park road around the south and west end of the lake back to Wadsworth Blvd. Wadsworth Blvd. back to the parking lot. Option: Follow Deer Creek Canyon Rd. west to the top and return to the parking lot.
From the Deer Creek parking lot head south on Wadsworth Blvd. approximately 4 miles to Kassler Rd. (Follow the sign to Roxborough State Park) Turn left (southeast) onto Kassler Rd. and ride ½ mile to Waterton Rd. Turn left (east) onto Waterton Rd. and continue 1 mile to the Rampart Rd. (south)/Titan Rd.(north) intersection. Turn right on Rampart Rd. and ride 2.5 miles south where Rampart Rd. turns into Roxborough Dr. Make a switchback right (south to north) on Roxborough Dr. and turn left (west) on Sundown Tr. to the Arrowhead Golf Course. The last 1/3 mile is steep. From the Golf Course retrace back to Rampart Rd. Continue north on Rampart Rd. to the Waterton Rd. intersection where Rampart Rd. turns into Titan Rd. Follow Titan Rd. north then east 2.5 miles to Roxborough Park Rd. Turn left (north) on Roxborough Park Rd. and continue 2 miles to the Chatfield State Park east Entrance. From the east Entrance follow the Park road 4 miles around the south and west end of the lake back to Wadsworth Blvd. Turn right (north) onto Wadsworth Blvd. and return to the parking lot at Deer Creek Canyon and Wadsworth Blvd. Option: From the Deer Creek parking lot head west up Deer Creek Canyon Rd. 9.0 miles to the high point. There is a large barn on the west side of the road. Retrace the route back to the parking lot.
Round trip: 22 miles 800 ft. elevation gain. w/Option: 40 miles and 2,900 ft. elevation gain.
