Meet-up Location and Directions:
To carpool: Meet on the east side of HWY 8 in front of The Fort restaurant in Morrison at 9:00am for an 9:15am departure. To trailhead: Take Highway 285 west to the town of Pine Junction, where it intersects with CO-126. From there, head south to Pine Valley Ranch. Take a right (at the bottom of the hill before the town of Pine) and continue to the parking lot at the end of the road. There is a bathroom and picnic tables the parking lot for this Jeffco Open Space park.
Departure:
Ride will depart promptly at 10:00am. Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to sign in and get ready to ride.
Cancellation:
Rides will be canceled when temperatures are below 40 degrees and/or trail conditions are obviously too wet. When conditions are questionable, call the Ride Leader for a last-minute check. If you have any questions concerning the route, please contact the ride leader.
Helmets:
Helmets are required on all Team Evergreen Bicycle Club rides.

Starting at the Pine Valley parking lot, we will climb and ride a loop of singletrack trails in the Buffalo Creek trail network as chosen by the ride leader. Short sections of Forest Service roads will be ridden in order to connect the trails. Trail surface consists mainly of decomposed granite (think coarse sand or pea gravel) and some hardpack. Never mind the name - Sandy Wash is a must! (think roller coaster turns, ups and downs) Vegetarians take note: Post-ride refueling stop at Hog Heaven BBQ, a few miles west of Pine Junction on HWY 285. Best barbecue in the Front Range.
