Buena Vista Bicycle Fest
June 1 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm$145
Join Team Evergreen for a great weekend in beautiful Buena Vista. We plan to have tent space as well as bring non-perishable food items to the local food shelter. Contact Kathy Giess for more info email@example.com
There are four ride options, all with spectacular views of the Arkansas River and Collegiate Peaks.
• The lovely century route goes north to Leadville, then climbs around Turquoise Lake Road and the historic Mineral Belt Trail before returning to Buena Vista. It’s a good early season ride, as nearly all of the climbing is completed over the first 60 miles. NEW: there’s an 80-mile short cut, in case you’re not quite ready for the full 100.
• The metric century – new route this year! – follows the Arkansas River just past Granite, then turns left and continues past Twin Lakes for 6 miles. May be the prettiest metric in the state!
• The 50-mile option extends from Buena Vista to the lovely Village of Twin Lakes.
• For riders who want to enjoy the Collegiate Peaks’ magnificent scenery with less distance, the 35-mile route turns around just past Granite.
All riders are invited to the post-ride celebration at McPhelemy Park, with live music and beer provided by Eddyline Brewery of Buena Vista and Bristol Brewery of Colorado Springs.
BV Bike Fest is sponsored by the Buena Vista Rotary Club. More event info is available on the http://bvbf.org
